Paradise Lies Beneath the Feet of Mothers: Have You Ever Wondered Why?
The Consciousness Field Where Potential Takes Form: The Mother
In ancient teachings, a mother is not merely a woman who gives birth. The Mother is the Space, the Carrier, the Rahim (Womb), and the Feminine Principle.
In esoteric language, the feminine principle does not create; it opens the space for manifestation.
In esoteric language, the feminine principle does not create; it opens the space for manifestation. The Masculine Principle is the “command”; the Feminine Principle is the “realization.”
The mother serves as a portal gate.
The Soul is “Breath” (Nefha), as referenced in the Quranic verse, “I breathed into him from My Spirit”; the Soul is a breath.
This gate is actually the greatest servant of our evolution.
Returning to the secret of “Paradise lies beneath the feet of mothers”; that gate (the mother) prepares us for our evolution in the material world, balances our frequency, and connects us to matter with divine compassion (RAHIM).
The Mother, on the other hand, is the “Ney” (reed flute) into which this breath flows. Without the Ney (Mother), the breath (Soul) cannot transform into sound (Human).
The mother serves as a portal gate.
The maternal bond is a cosmic navigation and energy station that allows the soul to find its direction on its journey back home, toward divine peace.
She sacrifices her own being and transforms divine energy so that a soul can find form in the material world.
The mother’s womb is a human’s “minor apocalypse.” There, one dies (separates from the realm of souls) and is born into this world.

This gate is actually the greatest servant of our evolution.
The mother’s role is far beyond being a passive carrier; she acts as a MECHANISM (Transformer).
Understanding the Depth of Maternal Sacrifice: Paradise Lies Beneath the Feet of Mothers
She sacrifices her own being and transforms divine energy so that a soul can find form in the material world.

While the mother patiently and affectionately teaches the child how to eat, walk, and meet all basic needs, she also instills moral values.
When a soul opens its eyes to the world, it arrives in a field it has never known.
This is a process of nine months and ten days, followed by an evolutionary and gradual devotion where she gives up her own self.
Let’s deepen this role under three main headings:
1. The Energetic Transformer Role From the perspective of the Divine Order and the Universe, the frequency of the Soul is much higher than the frequency of earthly matter. The Soul cannot connect directly to this coarse matter.
- Frequency Reducer: Through her own body and auric field, the mother domesticates high spiritual energy and makes it compatible with earthly matter.
- Protective Shield: She protects the baby not only from physical impacts but also from the energetic and thought waves of the outside world. The mother creates an artificial field of consciousness for the baby’s transition.
A consciousness that cannot bend down does not understand the “below,” and does not give up its ego with humility and surrender. (Also read: Spiritual Alchemy)
A consciousness that can look at the lowest point can reach the highest.
This consciousness forces one to look not upward, but downward.
The Foot, in ancient symbolism, represents rooting into the world and focusing on the field for evolution.
The “Paradise” in the phrase “Paradise lies beneath the feet of mothers” refers to the Divine Unity Consciousness.
2. The Mirror of Attributes and the First Guide In Sufi esotericism, the mother is the first manifestation of “Lord” (Rab – Educator/Nourisher) in a child’s life.
Channel of Compassion (Rahimiyet): The mother is the manifestation of Allah’s attributes of Creating, Nourishing, Protecting, Unconditional Love, Affection, and Mercy.
With these innate qualities, the mother becomes the practitioner of sacrifice and mercy, starting from the womb.

While the mother patiently and affectionately teaches the child how to eat, walk, and meet all basic needs, she also instills moral values.
The mother archetype comes into play here: A mother gives birth and carries her child, but she does not force everything; she waits patiently. Similarly, Mercy manifests upon those who are ready; it does not hurry.
The SOUL builds its eternal paradise (peace) through the divine morality learned in this motherly lap.
The pure, unconditional love a mother feels for her child is the highest frequency of energy.
Paradise being under her feet is the declaration that a soul cannot soar toward the heavens like a Phoenix (Anka) without burying its pride in the soil. The mother is the gate for the soul’s descent to earth; the mother’s blessing is the visa for the soul’s return to its origin (Mount Qaf).
The Throne Beneath the Feet
Although Paradise is often depicted as a location, it is actually a state of consciousness.

- The gate of humility,
- The seal of manifestation,
- The place where “Pure Love”—the goal of the material world—and unconditional giving are concentrated.
The Mother Archetype: Manifestation of Divine Mercy
Paradise Lies Beneath the Feet of Mothers
In Sufi metaphor, the mother is the carrying and waiting aspect of divine mercy (Rahmet). Divine mercy is generally handled in two ways:
- The Transmitting Aspect: The direct manifestation of divine power and abundance.
- The Waiting Aspect: The aspect that waits for this mercy to be noticed or accepted with surrender by the human.
The mother archetype comes into play here: A mother gives birth and carries her child, but she does not force everything; she waits patiently. Similarly, Mercy manifests upon those who are ready; it does not hurry.
The Secret of Existence: The Soil, The Gate, and the Phoenix (Anka) The greatest paradox of the universe is this: The most sublime is hidden in the lowest. The Mother is the “Arz” (Earth/Soil). The soil is also called “mother.” It is stepped upon, yet it gives birth to everything and makes flowers bloom.
May we be among those who crown existence with gratitude.
Let us realize the value of that pure and silent prayer in the mother’s sacred temple (her heart).
